Its finally glazed! Everything except for the platter...but it will look just like the sides of the bowls do. 

Finally finished painting.

I don't love it. But its done.

Graphic Design Final

Boxes with shelf presence was my final project for this class so I had to design and construct 6 identical boxes that worked well together.

Painting final

So my painting final is a contest we are all entering. The theme of the contest is "Embracing our differences." So naturally, I'm painting a chicken a penguin and a flamingo having a conversation with one another...naturally. This is just the beginning.

Ceramics Final

Here is my final for Ceramics. Its a large bowl, three smaller bowls and a large platter. The bowls turned out really cool because if you stack them they have an interesting "sculptural" look. I just don't know what color to glaze them. Any Suggestions?

Finished Painting

Since my teacher is a crazy bat she had me make some changes to my crate label and I wound up doing two to see which she liked best.

Paper Dolls

These are large scale "paper dolls" modeled after 1950's women. They are covered with wintergreen transfers that I did on dress pattern paper in printmaking. 

Construction Paper

Here is the semi-final design for the Construction Paper pad using Meredith's face.

This is made out of construction paper. I re-created a picture of Meredith. I am going to use this in my Graphic Design class as the photo on a package design for construction paper. The requirement for the project was to show on the package what you can do with what is inside. I think it kind of looks like her.

This is one of my favorite things so far. I can't really get a picture to do it justice though. So I guess you will just all have to come and see it!

Gestural Painting

I've finally realized why all painters wind up going nuts. 

You can work on something for forever and ever and you think its finished, but its not. 

There is always something you can change or fix or go back over. 

Very unnerving.

Print

I'm not going to give any background information on this. I will tell you it is a print I'm working on for Printmaking. I want you to look at it then tell me what you think when you see it. I need some different viewpoints and interpretations. Think deeper than "Shoe shopping" or "What on earth do I wear." !

A few more things. I still have a pitcher and a bowl waiting to be fired and we've started working on the wheel now so there will be tons and tons of stuff to come!

YAY POTS!

My first glazed pots are done and I'm SO excited!!! I'm about to be pretty obnoxious with all the pictures I put up. They may not be super duper beautiful but I'm pretty proud! 

1950's

These are prints from Printmaking. I'm doing a project on Women in the 1950's and the stereotypes that they are given. These images are from dress patterns. When I finish I'm going to sew them all together to make a 1950's style dress. 

(Don't worry guys I promise I'm not turning into a feminist.)
